By the way, if you notice, 3113 isn't boldly patched! It's only got "BNSF" on the Conductors side of the cab, It looks 100% BN on the Engineer's side! :thumb:

Post "Current Shots" of Fallen Flag Power Here

Please forgive my ignorance:eek:ops: , but i am scratching my head on the UP switcher and the EX-WSOR engine:confused: . please enlighten me as to how these engines fit into this thread. BTW, BOTH pics are NICE SHOTS!:thumb: , I'll give you guys that:winki::mrgreen: .

UP is as far from a fallen flag as you could possibly get, and i don't see ANY signs on it that shows its a fallen flag engine, though it well could be, i see no distinguishing signs of it.

As for the EX-WSOR engine, WSOR is very much alive and well:thumb: , they are probably one of the fastest growing shortlines around:winki: .

Tommy, its NO PROBLEM, NO NEED for any apologies:winki: , i was just wondering if i was missing something on your UP pic and Charlie's EX-WSOR pic. this thread was started by Dave, so unless he PM's me to take the pic off, I'll let it stay, personally, i like the refreshing change from all the BNSF stuff anyways, even if it doesn't really belong in this thread:winki::mrgreen: .

you posted some real nice shots Tommy, I'm looking forward to any more that you add on here:thumb: .

Here's a double whammy...
a Nickel Plate 2-8-4 (a flag that fell 40+ years ago...into the N&W fold)
and
a BN diesel...which was being used to simulate heavy trains (dynamic braking)

It is fairly recent (2 years ago)...

More DME and ICE now CP

We had a great wet snow last night here in the Mankato, MN area (south central where the DME and UP cross). I focused on DME as it's now CP - I wonder if they'll repaint? I model the local stuff so it means new looks - I'm excited.

And the rest of the trip . . .

I tracked this west bound train from the UP Mankato yard to several miles west of Mankato. It was calm, 35 and georgous.
