After seeing Deano's freight thread I thought a power thread would be fun. Same rules apply. Patched is OK.

    Here are some to start.

Oh boy, here we go again...

All of the selected photographs were taken after the respective railroads became fallen flags. I've left off BNSF Warbonnets, as it was an official BNSF paint scheme (Santa Fe war bonnet with BNSF text).

This SOO Line SD60 was running in CSX service past the Worcester Yard on track 1 in Worcester, MA on the Boston Line. It's been running around the Boston Line between Selkirk, NY and Framingham, MA

Love this thread! I love seeing all these patch jobs. :thumb: I remember in one of Deano's threads he had a picture of Wisconsin engines and you can see in the background an old replaced Utah Railway engine, weird to see the red stipe and nose without Utah Railway on them. I love those pictures of the GP60m's, i love the look of them with their small long hoods, different dynamic brakes and the huge wide cabs on the front. Definately my favorite engines. Keep up the great pictures!

Scott; I believe those are replacement cab HVAC units - vital piece of equipment on a wide cab, for sure. Bob C.

Looks like the Santa Fe is among the favorite fallen flags. A shame to see it "subjugated" to the almighty UP....(Sorry Deano....).

Just happens to be the Railroad I shoot the most of (BNSF that is), I've got a ways to go, and we're only in the 2xxx of BNSF units.

The orange boxes are Air Conditioning (HVAC) units. As they get old, BNSF replaces them, with new/rebuilt BNSF Orange ones.

    How about some 35's & 38-2's?
