I'm jumping the gun a little here but I've never had the opportunity to start one of these and so I'm going to grab it before somebody else does!
To capture this picture, I had to remove a part of the backdrop, pull the layout away from the wall, squeeze in the resulting gap and wedge my tripod in as well. Off to the left is a flourescent light precariously balanced atop a bridge and some scenery providing light for the foreground. I took about 30 pictures of this one area and this one turned out the best . I hope it was worth the effort.

I felt like having a little fun today and being creative so I came up with a scene to show off my new construction equipment.
We're making way for some new buildings and a few bystanders have come out to watch the commotion.

The old John Deere must live in the yard. I can tell by the ruts.

The fall colors in the background make it look as if that could be an oil painting very easily.

TL: Modualr starting to look good.
JW: Pics are getting better. Keep up the good work.
slekjr: Hope you were wearing your woolies that day. Nice pic.

Here's mine for the week.
Locos parked at the CNE engine house. The B&O GP35 was just purchased from a tourist railroad that was going under. Hasn't been painted in CNE colors yet(Silver/Green or New Haven "McGuiness" or leave it alone?)

Much more still to do. Need to sand the roads and yard, cut out flageways in crosings, paint the roads and yards, add some more strutcural details, ballast track, add ground cover and some more. More to come soon

Another terrific photo thread! Nice work everyone!

This week I have a Penn Central through freight rolling past a string of Kings Port & Western box cars waiting for a local to pick them up at the interchange.
