Cool shots everyone! This time I have a picture of action at the Cargill plant now being serviced by the KP&W. After I took this pic I lowered that awning over the covered hopper on the right. Didn't realize I had placed it so high . Funny how photos provide a more objective view! :)

CSX B23/30-7 Making the rounds

New to the Ballantyne Sub, 5542 drags a Trinity Hopper past the old factory.

(As an aside...I just got this Bachmann diesel yesterday and started to fix the "stock" paint scheme to match the prototypical and weathered the trucks, fuel tanks, front and rear couplers. Hand rails were painted yellow, foot tread edges too with as steady hand as I could manage. I still need to move the horns to the leading edge of the cab, and add two lights either side of the railing, and MU hoses. I want to make sun shades as well. But my biggest project I hope to scratch build is adding a small snow plow. I know BLMA makes one in pewter - but I'd like to try and build one with styrene. If I can do it, a Bachmann GP60 needs a large snow plow too. Wonder why of all design considerations, Bachmann chooses not to model a snow plow?) Anyone found a good Nscale wire gauge that makes hoses and can be painted? I'm thinking of using a click-pen spring cut to the right size. It would already have a bend to it, but might be a bit too thick for scale.

Herc, how does that puppy run? It certainly doesn't look bad.I've been thinking of getting a couple of them if they run half way decent.

Catt - I'm sorry to say I haven't even put power to it yet. Just caught enough sunlight for what I'd hoped would have been an interesting picture. The price is great ($42 at my LHS). If it's anything like the other Bachmann diesels and Spectrum's I have, I'm guessing it will be a strong puller - but noisey. I picked up a Bachmann Southern H16-44 too and haven't run it yet either. Too many other projects going on this weekend. But I will run it tomorrow I hope and will let you know.

Awesome job with the trees, Tom. I'm new on the site and am wow'd by the input of everyone. Just retired,( at 51 :thumb: ) and anxious to get started with a new layout ! Will be looking forward to talking to and using advice from everyone.
