not to say you should do it, but you could always add a straight strip, with the angled top bend, custom fit, to the front of the curved one, and it would act as a facade, hiding the curve. Just a thought. On the other hand, the curve is so gentle, it almost seems intentional, it looks fine the way it is. :)

sounds like a good idea Zathros. but i'll leave it the way it is. knowing what went wrong helps with doing the rest right.. i hope:). ok got more done. a lot of small cutting and scoring on this model for sure.house2 003.jpgfinely figured out the bends on these..

I agree with your assessment, and to be honest, the curve has an appeal to it, almost like the original should have had it.. :)

and here ya go, all the round post made and glued together. and the right hall attached to the base. the left hall is built the same way...

and NOW, the moment you've all been waiting for,( and me too). i give you the Japan Byodoin Phoenix Hall. this was a real fun and for" me" a challenging build . yes , there are some mistakes but hay, i not be perfect. i learned more doing this build and will carry it on to the next build. with today being my birthday, i thought i'd get it done while i'm not doing anything at all today....well i thought i'd not do anything today..rrriiiiggghhttt..... now if i can figure out how to get into UHU's library for some b-day presents to myself i'm all set
