    It's been quite awhile since I posted anything or built a model so I'm probably pretty rusty but here goes nuthin!

    I have attached a photo of the completed model from the first page of the instructions and a photo of the almost completed cockpit build.

    I have both of his P-40s and I already modified the PH one to represent the plane flown by George Welch during the attack.
    One day, after I run out of Japanese planes......

    Cecil,
    Nice job so far. I have a P-40 setting here by my side. It's a liitle flat but we can take careof that.

    Here are more pics of this very slow build.

    The nose is started:

    I decided to use photo paint to create paper decals of the "Sharks mouth" to overlay this area on the model since I did not like how it looks now:

    And a couple of pics of the nose and cockpit section with the decals attached.

    More to come slowly.

    Continuing with the photopaint idea I've created some additional decals or skins to overlay areas that didn't look so good when first assembled.
