    I wish I was !!!

However looking at Han's pic I suddeny realised I had done it all wrong (ignoring vacuforming) I should have done 4 mouldings off the same plug.
1 for the top 1 for each side and 1 for the front screen and using the one of the paper canopies(there are several canopy sets in the kit) as a pattern joined them together and then fitted the card canopy frames as an overlay on top.

Oh well engage brain before turning on toaster i future.

    Barry,

Great build. I may have missed this, but had you or have you thought of redoing the paint scheme as your Dad's plane?

I'm hoping to do a KC-135 for my Dad (he was a crewmember during the Vietnam period), if I can ever manage to purchase the kit. Soon, I hope.

    Cheers,
    Brad

It's Han's dads plane my dad would now be 105 and he was a CPO in the Navy. I think Hans is thinking along those lines.

    regards

Based on your comments on the canopy of your model, I'd say It's still excellent

..Were there not diagrams/shapes for little metal strips to allow for an outward curve in the canopy? They seemes to work well for my version?

Sorry thought I had answered you I just do not like gluing the cut slots in the canopy, there is nothing wrong with what was designed.

I get ya know...Ive never really wanted to get into Vac Forming but I do agree it makes a better canopy. Ive often found Dr. Z's canopies excellent in design and fit, some of the best designs out there

    Main undercarriage

    Hi All

Not that good quite fiddley if I was to do it again I would definately copy the top yoke and laminate it until it got to the right thickness the folds on this are too much for me. It's too fragile the way it is.

I have a bitch with aircraft designers I wish they would specify the width of the damn tyres I am tired of beng given a few circles and guessing.

I am probably bitching cos the paper keeps delaminating and won't roll and the glue does not stick, which actually means my hands don't work

    Barry,

Im having the same problem with a Morane-Saulnier Type N build. Vague instructions making a novice builder seem even more dumb than usual. Or maybe its just my Homer Simpson fingers...

    Undercarriage

    Hi All

A bit of paint and a pic from well back and the gear almost looks passable if I have put the hub in the wrong way round it's deliberate I couldn't think of a way to hide the end of the wire strut which runs through the gear. It's propped up in the hope that it will dry well over night and not collapse in the morning.

    Undercarriage

    Hi

It went a bit downhill after not getting the wing thickness right but I thought I might as well finish it.

    Without the undercarriage doors

Still needs the big tank and pylons adding

Cool Bronco! I just tried my first paper landing gear on a Westland Whirlwind, an it ai'nt easy! I got a few pieces on backwards, too! Thanks for making the effort to document your build and posting it. Are you done, or will you add the drop tanks, etc?
