I'm a newbie, only about 15 flights from soloing. I crashed a week ago, and got my OS46 full of dirt. Took it mostly apart (left the reciprocating assembly in place) and washed it in solvent. Upon reassembling it I'd like to *hear* it start and run before repairing the aircraft. I lubricated internally with LPS brand of silicone spray, and also with glo fuel.

Problem - I can't seem to get the tightness of the prop/crankshaft bearings right. In the field when changing props I tightened the prop nut down very tight and no problem. Now, I tighten it and get either too loose (elec starter just spins the prop/cone assembly or it's too tight (can hardly turn it by hand, and the starter jams).

    What am I doing wrong?

    Sure appreciate any help -
