Thought I'd share a few photos of this LMB On3 Mason Bogie I tuned up for a friend.
A closer look at some of the detail.
Nice loco. I always had a thing for the MB.
Something about that Forney look and that crazy valve linkage on top of the boiler I guess.
Did you or your friend do the weathering job? Very nice. Good grimy sooty look.
I'm not sure who did the weathering.
It may have been done before he bought it when the Sagami motor was installed.

A historical note - The Canada Atlantic Railway ran the only Mason bogie on standard gauge in Canada.

I've been thinking of bashing one of these too.
The second set of drivers on this model is geared with a pivot point above the gearbox and a driveshaft to the motor. This would be a easy driveline to set up.
