An outstanding paint job, Tom - as usual. Also the weathering is superb!

But you say 'oh no - pink'? How about a REALLY PINK freight car? Look at that gondola of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). In the mid-1980's they had a fit of extremely bad taste and painted these 'Eaos' type gondolas in a bright pink - yeecchh!
Here's a new example - no, it wasn't used to transport candy! :D

Oh, you should have seen these cars after a few years of service, with a revolting mix of pink and brake dust weathering - double yeecchh! (My camera refused to take a pic of such a horrid car, so I have only this as-new-photograph.) :D :D :D

Nice work as usual Tom! As for the pink, I remember seeing pink covered hoppers lettered for the Klemme Co-op all the time when I lived in Iowa. Suppose grain dealers get a discount on that shade? :)

Thanks guys.

I have one Klemme Co-op, one Ralston-Jefferson, and several Farnhamville hoppers to go with this one. All of them are pink. I also have one undecorated one that is being done in pink for Ralston-Jefferson. The car is painted I just have to get around to decaling it.
