A minor gripe.
Flitting through this forum, I frequently come across references to " the HMS Wotsit". Wrong, wrong, wrong! It should be just " HMS Wotsit", definitley no the. Or simply "the Wotsit". Why? Well, HMS stands for Her Majesty's Ship so the definite article aint needed.OK for USS or FNS, but certainly not for HMS.
