NYC logo removal

I need some advice, please. I wish to repaint my new MT FT's to a handsome B&M maroon and gold scheme. Right now it's NYC black with the white logo on the front. What's the best (read that "easiest") way to remove the logo?

I soak the body shell in brake fluid for about an hour or so then gently scrub with a toothbrush. Wash off with lukewarm water and dry.

Tyson has the correct technical answer but wouldn't it be easier to simply spray black over the NYC logo and add a nice new PC mating worms logo? Oh, oooookay,. have it your way!

Thanks, fellas. I have used the brake fluid method when I wanted to strip the entire loco, but in this case I felt the black paint already applied would make a good base or primer. PC? Omigosh!!! LOL. No, my layout is too "old" for the worms.
