One of my F40PH's has now successfully been converted to DCC. The new board has such a bright headlight that I actually turned off all the lights in the house just so I could watch the train cruise around the layout. It gave a whole new dimension to my layout. Anyway, here is a picture of my engine sneaking down the edge of the yard past the PepsiCola boxcar in the pitch black of night. Just so's ya know, this is a "first" picture. I don't think I've ever tried a shot like this before but I plan to try and make it better little by little. I think the most obvious next step is to use a tri-pod!
