    I'm doing this Erie K-1 for Lackawanna Jim. It's getting done as it appeared in the 1950's. At that time the loco shops knew that these steamers' days were numbered. They really began to take great care of them. The walkway edges were painted aluminum, the window frames were pained red and the smoke boxes were done with graphite. Here is the model before a light weathering.
