Hi All!

I'm new in the forum, but not new in the hobbie, as I've been in and out of it several times.

I'm not very gifted when it comes to add details to my ships as they are mostly built as 'out of the box', so never tried that. I'm finishing right now Wilhelmshaven's Schleswig Holstein, wich to my opinion is one of their bests models being designed so long ago.

Recently, GPM released their version of this ship and so I bought it and received it yesterday, there are differences between this two models of the same ship, strange as it seems the Wilhelmshaven seems more detailed but I cannot say because I can't seem to find pictures of this ship. If anybody knows a site with good pictures it will be greatly appreciated.

Greetings

Erick

Thanks for the link but I'm looking for pictures of the real ship thru it's several stages in WWII.

Oh, that is different.

This page http://germandressdaggers.com/Kriegsmarine Ship Schleswig Holstein.htm have no pictures but do mention some changes to the armament during the ships life. Radar is also mentioned http://www.warships1.com/Weapons/WRGER_07.htm

http://www.bobhenneman.info/pdhome.htm has pictures of S-H and others. (That site is more known for its wreck diving information I think)

Edit: http://www.militaria-house.com/linienschiff-schleswig-holstein.html There is an advert for a 282 page book with 83 photos at the bottom of the page.

Hello Erick,

I've been looking around for that sort of photo myself. I don't know how much more that was done to her past 1938. It looks like most of the modifications were complete by then. The most noticeable changes to me are the funnel mods and the removal of the "cheek" guns from the bow.

This looks like a great kit. I am looking forward to building it myself. I would love to see the other model you did if possible. Keep us posted on your build!

Hi Cardfan,

I'll try to post some pictures as soon as I get home, right now it's almost finished, only parts remaining are the cranes and dingies. I won't do the rigging and railing as I don't know how to do it yet... and I don't want to brake the model as it has been already restored from Wreckage
