A close-up. I pre-painted the posts before putting the tulle on. This and the use of silver-grey tulle helped keep the fencing as fine as possible without paint build up.

Ah, the gate. I thought of going with double hung gates but further review of surrounding fencing convinced me that a single hung gate was the way to go. I started with a U-shaped piece of .020" wire, bent slightly undersized to the entrance of the enclosure.

Two .020" crossbars were added, soldering the first low enough to add the three rows of barbed wire to the top and the second halfway 'tween the top and bottom. See earlier notes on the heat conducting abilities of brass wire before continuing installation of said crossbars.

Three rows of 4 mil "barbed wire" were then run along the top as well as a 4 mil guy wire.

Chain link was then applied after the gate was painted with a new found friend, a Sharpie silver marker.

The pump house is a scrap box shed from a long forgotten kit.

Coupled with an industrial looking grey paint job with red roof, Billy Joe Ray Bob is a happy camper.

On its way to my club's layout. Total time investment was between 16-18 hours, pleasure factor was off the scale and monetary damages totaled $1.29 for the wire. Everything else came from current stock. Thanks for all the kind comments.

Yes, Ron, it does react and work just like those Testor's paint pens. The thread I used was 4 mil nylon quilting thread. It appears to have held up well to the solvents in the paint.
