If this is answered someplace else on this forum, please point me to it !

Just getting in to this since getting the bug after visiting a train museum with my dad over Thanksgiving. I need some advice on the base structure to build a bench. I'm doing HO and bought (won) some Harley Davidson anniversary sets on ebay. Any suggestions on the plywood thickness ? Maybe someone has a plan for benchwork they could share ?

Also, I'm sure these Harley sets I believe are from Walthers. Can they be convereted to DCC ? If so, is it difficult ? I've got an electronics background and can handle a soldering iron so hopefully its not too involved.

    Thanks
    Joe

    Hi Joe,

    Welcome to The Gauge!

Your questions have very likely been answered already here, but feel free to ask anyway. We have a search tool that will help you find answers if you don't see them when scanning through. Try Technical Q&A or Track Planning for the Future for your benchwork questions, and we also have a DCC Forum for the electronic control queries... ;)
