i am looking to start my first layout, but I am having trouble finding one I like. I am looking to run 2 engines and have a round house with some grade changes. Can someone please help me out ?

What era, and how big are your locomotives going to be? I would presume you want to run steam, if your looking for a roundhouse. I think a mikado is about the biggest thing you can expect to run reliably on a layout that will fit 4 x 8. I think a roundhouse might be overkill for the size operation you can run on a 4 x 8. A two or three bay engine house will fit better. It was common practice for shortline railroads and logging operations that didn't have room or the need for a roundhouse to use an engine house with a turntable.
