Still playing around with the lighting, all avilible tracks are being used!
I have added text to the track plan to show where all the towns will be. The main towns will be Nanton and High River, with 2 grain elevators in Okatoks. There is a mine in Revelstoke, on the 2nd level.
Here is the the track plan with text for the 2nd level. There is a siding to cut out the mid train units in Golden.
I was up till 3:30 last night trying something, here is what I did, the front 4 tracks on the main yard will curve to the right making more room for an engine facility and intermodal yard. The boxes are makeshift buildings, and there might be an auto overpass over the yard also, just an idea!
Here it is from the other side.
That is sure very impressive, SD90!
Since there are so many Canadian railroad nuts already in this thread, can anyone tell me what this is? It wandered into Cheyenne, WY last week on UP's WB line to Sherman Hill.
Dash8-40cm. BC Rail has some as well as CN and QNSL a mining railroad in Quebec.
That unit has the carbody CN developed, full width with the "Draper taper" just behind the cab door. The taper may be visible in the photos. It allows the crew some rearward vision without sticking heads out the window.
I don't think anyone has ever made one in Nscale, have they?
...That's a nice looking locomotive! I know someone who will be making some of them soon...
Who would that be?
...I guess it's the same who will made the Redbarn later this year, bet ?
take a look on the new designed website from John W.
(btw: I have mine already on backorder...)
this one is from Kaslo Shops too...
No doubt about it, John as Kaslo Shops does excellent work. I have two of his products and I’m quiet happy with them.
Here's what I did last week, I changed the mainline switches all to long ones, also got all the mainline laid, now there are just 3 sidings, the main yard and the staging yards left to do !
I could NEVER do that. Anyway I've seen some CN way down here in TN, never have digicam though & don't know how to get the pics on the net for you too look @.
I got the valence up yesterday, it's almost all finished, the pictures should look better now also, I read the manual for my camera! I think the best thing to do for lighting, is what I have done with the lower back right corner of this picture, full spectrum bulbs. I friend of mine told me that I would have to use them, but I thought I might be able to get around it, the proof is in pictures now! I'm going to finish some scenery on a small section, so I can see what it looks like with some green in the picture!
Here is that train in the back corner, I didn't even use the flash for this picture!
WOW. Can I have your modelling budget? I'm sure you've been asked that a few times....
After finishing by backdrop, it amazes me howmuch more finished the layout looks, even without scenery, just bare rails!
It's amazing how fast your layout is progressing SD90.
Thanks for keeping us updated.
I'll even say it backwards!!!
