I caught this wild hair after hearing "Brick House" by Rick James this weekend on the radio. As usual, I bastardized the song by inserting my own words , which gave me this idea for a neat little weekend project. I just so happened to have a test mold for a brick pattern I was making that was obsolete, but in all respects quite usable. So, I made a quick pour and slapped this little baby together.

Everybody sing, "Oh it's a brick ___ howwss...

Uhh, where does the base empty out into???:eek::eek::eek:

I thought about sticking a pipe out the back and into a ditch, but since it won't be seen from that side I opted to pass (the backside isn't even finished). Since they went to the trouble of building such a heavy duty potty I figure they dug a super pit underneath.

For those interested, the brick walls are actually two pieces of the brick slab glued back to back with the joint hidden by the door. the roof is a few pieces of wood trimmed around the edges with scale 2x6 and coverd with Campbell corrogated roofing material. The hardest part was cutting the moon shape in the door. I had to do that under a microscope. Even then, sharp razors look like beat-up lawnmower blades.

If you have a mining operation on your layout just say that it was built over an abandoned mine shaft. :D :D :D

There's alot of old shafts in Colorado they have fenced off, right off the road to keep the tourists out. CO needs to show a positive attitude towards the tourist and that's an ideal solution. Kills two birds with one stone. Humm, long term "plugging and abandoning'.

I wonder how long it would take to fill it up? Or, how many port-a-potty trucks would it need to clean it out? Turning to look at Mr. Owl...

I asked the office manager if it was Rick and she said she thought so. Guess she doesn't know ( I won't tell her either, I'll just let her think it is Rick...Ha ha aha). I should've listened to my wife, but I couldn't break my streak.

Ok, is there any way to change the title of this thread to "My tribute to the Commodores"?

Both those bands were good. Not that I'm a fan, but I still get the "chicken head" and sing along when I hear those two songs.

Thanks for the clarification.

Didn't think about that one.

I can just see it...two bats flying out the hole, one turns to the other and says, "Did you see that! What kind of bat was THAT! The other bats looks at the first and says, 'I don't know, but did you see the size of guana he just dropped!?

Reminds me of the one about two crows sitting on a fence watching Concorde take off for the first time - One looks at the other and says "Jeez, what a racket!" The other says "Well, you'd make a noise like that if your a$$ was on fire!";)

LOL, that's funny.

That would make a nice little scene on the edge of a cliff, targeting some tracks below. Put a little plaque, on the facia of the layout for visitors, that reads, "Please Refrain From Using Toilet While the Train is Standing Below You."

Never thought this thread would continue on, with toilet humor. Literally.
