I am so happy!

I'm glad you are trying again.

Now you know what the problems are, you should do great!

Remember to always dry fit before using glue.
Some adjustment may be called for.

Hello Yaniv!

The main mission of these boats was mine sweeping. There was also a class of sub chasers based upun these boats, those had a slightly different bridge and, of course, a different armament.

You'll find a lot of pictures of these boats (though not of the USS Caravan in particular) at
http://www.navsource.org/archives/11/02idx.htm (it's the Admirable class, AM-136 to AM-313),
and of the sub chasers at
http://www.navsource.org/archives/12/02idx.htm .
You might find these pictures useful, because the instructions of the model leave some questions open. E.g., Willi Hoster recently built this model, too, and at first he mounted the signal flag containers (parts 18 ) upside down, because thex are not shown in the instructions. You find his construction report at http://www.kartonbau.de/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=8366, there's also a sketch of the DCTs (parts 30 ) that's also missing in the instructions.

Keep it up!
Michi

Yaniv, keep trying, it will be worth it! Here's another minesweeper reference to look at, the sad story of the USS Inaugural. My Dad served on the USS YMS-140, a smaller class of 'sweeper, and we stopped in St Louis back in 1972 to see the Inaugural. Take a look at http://www.ussinaugural.org/ to see what happened to the ship in 1993.

Thanks for posting the link to the build on kartonbau.de. Part 30 has had me stumped too.
