Those are two good upgrades that will make a big difference. The next would be a good aluminum tuned pipe for the TRX 2.5.

Go to Trinity or Tower and check them out. 5 cell RX packs, there are several different kinds, NiMH and Nicd, 1000mha to 1400mha, and differnt sized cells, I use 2/3A NiMH 1100mha cells in my trucks and buggies. I build them myself, can get 25 cells for what 1 pack cost.

    mastmec,

My LHS owner is telling me to check out a G O something head, or "G" something for better cooler, and to get an exhaust that is made for the 2.5 maxx that is a dual outlet in the rear. Ever heard of either of these parts? I think someone mentioned a CVEC pipe for the 2.5, but I dont think this one was a CVEC.

yea.he means discharge them.you dont need to to that with nimh cells.only with nicads.if you dont do that with nicads, they will develope what is called `memory` and wont charge fully the next time they are charged.so thats what sucks about nicads.nimh is a good break through in technology.

as far as running more than 6v to a reciever,i have been running Futaba recievers for years and have used alkiline and it seemed to ruin it.eventualy it would`nt run right on 4 cells so i tryed 3 cells and it worked great.after that it eventualy didnt work at all.

    so whats up with that?

thats a good way to put it.

i always dicharge and peak my cells everytime i use them.that way you will never have those problems but that is alot of work.

I don't know about the head, will look into it though. As far as pipes go, find one designed for the TRX 2.5 engine, not just any pipe will get you the best power out of your engine. The stinger pipes go out the rear, to keep most of the oil off the truck, they don't always work the best though.
