I wish there was a paper model of this:
I don't know ships well enough to name her...can you tell me her name?
I can tell you if it is available...
A Clipper Ship?
Hull colors are wrong for the Cutty Sark or Boston Clipper though...
Is this it?
Looks like The Eagle.................
Eagle's Hull Is All White Though
This one has a waterline painted red. Eagle's hull rises more out of the water too than this one...:|
It's a painting of the 4 masted steel barque "Forteviot" by Antonio Jacobsen. (check the image name :grin
The design of such barques was pretty much standardised by the 1890's.
Forteviot is a village in Scotland between Dunning and Perth.
There's a goodish number of Barque models like this one around in various scales. I have WHV's Towaritsch (Gorch Fock I) here, there's also Gorch Fock II, Kruzenshtern, etc. Check the Paper Models International website or catalog.
+1!!! Thats a beautifull ship... I forgot to complete the wish list, because for four mast rigged ships there is the Kruzensztern by FLY MODEL, but...
I have the plans for the spanish JS Elcano, Ill try to build it myself
The Preussen... the largest sailing ship of all time, I cant believe there isnt a paper model of this, ill try it too...

I always snikker when the flags atop the mast blow in the wrong direction.
