    Hello,
I am considering buying this 2-6-6-6. Is this 3 rail? It is AC.
Any comments on its performance? The ad said something about requiring O-31. Would this be radius or diameter.
    Thanks

    Hey, Petey!

While I am NO EXPERT on the subject, an AC version would be 3 rail. 0-31 would be the minimun operating diameter, commonly referred to as just 0-27, 0-31, 0-42, etc.

    HI petely,

I don't know if you have bought this engine yet, but I do have one and love it. Yes it is AC and they say it requires 031 min track, but I do run mine on 027 with K-line low profile switches. It will not clear a Lionel 027 switch

    Hi Robin,

thanks, that is the wire harness from the tender to the engine. Most of the command control boards are in the tender.

here is another pic of it.

Never really test it's max pulling power, but it never had a problem with anything I put behind it. My layout is only 10 x 20 so we don't have room for real long trains.

This engine is several years old now, I believe it was listed for $699.00 and I paid $650.00 delievered for it. It is PS2 with full command. Several places will sell the MTH at 15% off list.

Is the smoke real or just an added after thing. Whichever, it sure adds to the scene SB.

Yes I do have one of the desiel with smoke. MTH has 3 setting for the smoke, low, med and high. This is set on medium.

The Railking 4-4-0 have been at different prices depending on which catalog they have been in. List price has been from $429.00 to $300.00 and street cost of $365 to $265.00. The last one I bought was from the 2005 Vol 1 list at $300 and paid $265.00
