Dob't know about foam. My base is 1/4" plywood and I just let super glue wick under the roadbed edges, Holds great and a knifeblade will easily remove it when necessary.

If the super glue doesn't melt the foam it might work, but foam can be a bit crumbly. Not the most stable base.

I use a glue gun. You do have to careful that you don't get the glue too hot or it will melt into the foam. The nice thing about this method is,,, it holds your track secure but you can still pull it loose without damaging it if you want to change something. Also, the hot glue when dry will peel right off the roadbed of the Unitrack and it looks like new. With a little practice you can get to where you can glue it down without melting the foam.
