Seeing as how the track is now down on the main board, (got to do the end wings yet) I thought I would give my loco's a test run to see if the grades weren't too steep. All loco's pushed up six empty log cars with no problem, but three is all that will ever run.
The Climax has just made the easy 4% grade climb, and the Shay is pushing up three cars on the 8.5%. This is the grade I was worried about, but all is fine.
The tracks here are the upper two levels out of four.
Shamus.

Hi Tyson,
A friend of mine painted the backdrop for me as I just wanted trees.
Here's some more photo's of the new Badger.

I agree with Tyson...your backdrop adds so much depth to an already spectacular layout!
Look forward to seeing more!

Control Panel now built and a start on the wiring is well under way. Should have it completed by Sunday night, then a start will be made ballasting and painting the tracks.

Wow, Shamus!
Your talent, & skill are only matched by your speed!
I was just thinking that my little N scale project, which I've been puttering with since last summer, would've been...say...a good solid evening's work for you! :p
Excellent work, old friend! It's great to have the blow-by-blow account of your progress.
You keep the bar held high for the rest of us!
Thanks for sharing!
