your to kind and thank you
made some rough progress on the receiver and barrel
it,s still in the rough
You've got that bit on top Sideways...
Gotta admit, I'm impressed by the detail you're putting into this.
Even though it's still rough at the moment, I'm giving this one:
Model Of The Week! :thumb:
thank you I hope you feel the same way when it is done.
Filler sand more details.More filler and more sanding. And a whole lot more details to go.
The cocking Handle (that knob) is supposed to face Right not up
not on this version. The early 1928 tompson has the cocking handle on the top. The later M1 and M1A1 were VERY different weapons.
You're doing a great job. I'm glad after some of your earlier pictures the you have gone with the ribbed barrel.
Thank you Mousemuffins. In my earlier picture i was trying to use some of the parts from the original model didn,t work.New barrel new receiver new frame and a differant magazine then the original pictures.Thank God for the blue prints or I be lost. I found the web to be full of history and pictures of the tommy gun.
Oh wow, Really? I guess the M41A Pulse Rifle was built on a later model Tommy.
The more you know, I guess
Simply awesome. I hope to get to your level of expertice somem day. Keep up the great work
made the rear sight a leaf sight .thought it was cool.again thompson blue prints
You know, once this is epoxied and painted, it'll be tough to tell it from the real McCoy...
started working on the wood graining effect. This is the base colors.
that type of epoxy do you recommend
went to ACE HARDWARE today looking for some glaze to finish the wood grain as I was there i found Minwax wood hardener. It said on the can to harden rotten wood to a rock hard finish .Well paper is like wood in-fact it,s processed wood so that the hey I,ll try it.Shore enough it made the paper rock hard.Though I,d just share a new trick I found to stiffen the paper after building.probly screw up printed pages but great on scratch builds.
Brilliant! Let's see some more pics.
And... this is gonna shoot paper bullets, right?
