    Mor -

Yes - I believe it's wall spackle/filler. Thank you for the response - I really enjoy your build. I am building a Turan 4 out of a T-54 in 1:25. Thanks Again.

    Loadmat,

Tiran 4 is an Israeli version of the Russian T-54, any special reason ?

    Mor,
I have built IDF armor models in plastic of the M-50/51, Ti-67, M-60 and Merkava. Now that I work in paper, I thought it would be interesting to convert a T-54 to a Turan 4. Another project I have in mind is the Kfir. I would also like to do an IDF Phantom, (I used to work on the F-4G Wild Weasel) and the IDF Republic SeaBee.

    Hi all,

The canopy is done, but not finished. After a very long matching process with the canopy, of bonding and removing it for small adaptations, I was hapy with results.

    [IMG][/IMG]

But than, I compared it to the profile drawing, and fined out that the canopy shape near the wind screen is wrong, think the mistake was in the mokd itself.

So, I am going back to the drawing board.

    Hi all,

Doing some painting touch-up, between one thing and another. A chalange that I didn't solve up to now is how to do the slogan "mirage iiic", and some other like "no step" and "snecma atar" in french.

Next step will be the assembly of the fuel tanks.

    Hi,

The fuel tanks are assembled, and part of the writing - "snecma atar 9" and "no step" in french are done. For the writing, I used what is known here as "Letra Set", with letter size of 2.5mm (see last picture). By "writing" on the letters, it adher to the model. Still need to fined a solution for the "mirage iiic".
I belive that pictures are better than words, so her are the pictures.

    Hi every one,

The model is done and finished !!!

    [IMG][/IMG]

The "mirage iiic" was the last problem I was "stuk on", an internet search to find this label at 1-32 scale, didn't gave any results. So the last solution was to hand kopy it, with a kopy paper, by hand writing it on both sides. To it I added two symboles for shot down aircraft.

    [IMG][/IMG]

    And some more pictures ....

Today, Mirage 758 under number "158", is at the Israeli Air Force museum, and together with another mirage - 159 / 759, is holding the record for 13 (each) shout down aircraft (picture taken from airliners.net).

Thanks to you all, this thread was a great pleasure for me, and at the moment I am working on the next thread - this time a warship.

    So, till next thread

    Very nice model.

I am curious though as to why the no step stencils would be in french on an Isreali A/C?
