I recently got one of these thinking it would be perfect for use with models

It's pretty handy for holding parts while painting or glueing when you need a third hand. The only downside seems to be that it's not weighted very well so if you have it holding a part that's too big it will fall over quite easily.

Wouldn't be too difficult to weigh down the base or attach it to something more sturdy.
I would have to do something with the teeth also. I wouldn't want them biting into my paper parts.

    Great idea!!!

The things you use for modeling!

Russ, you can use it to hold another tool while you manage your model... just an idea out of 500.

    Thanks!
