I wish all the best for you Robin and am hopeful you weather this storm like many who have gone before you.You and yours have been added to the prayer register !!
Niki and I went through this ourselves back a few years and her father has fought it for over 20 years. He's 80 years old and now feels better than he has in many years. I'll tell you the same thing I told him.
Youve got a lot left to teach me and you aint gettin out of it!! :)

Robin, all I can say is fight, don't let it get down there will be days when you want to quit but afterwards when your all better it of course will have been worth it.
We need the King of cardboard to keep us mesmerized with his great models, hope to see you back very soon, Pat.

Got this from Robin's daughter Kim.

Hi Johnathan, this is Kim, Robin's daughter

Dad is going to start some chemo treatments on Monday. Through this
week
his pain has been well managed but he feels nauseous and fatigued. The
treatments proposed do not "cure" but rather hold the cancer at bay -
the
tumours should shrink. The aim would be for Dad to come home,
participate
with life in the home, (and on the comuter!). Things are a little up
in the
air right now as we don't know how he'll feel with the treatments. If
he
could not feel sick, get some energy then I think you'll find that
he'll
persist witht he treatments (we have no idea of a timeline ie, 9 mos,
1year,
or the like). I know that he wouldn't want to continue if he can't
feel
better than he feels right now.

I know that this has come as a shock for so many. We truly appreciate
your
thoughts and concerns and I know that Dad enjoys the emails from you
guys
(Mom reads them to him).

I will update you when we have a better idea of what the treatments are
doing for Dad - both physically and mentally.

Regards, Kim

This part is from me,Catt.

Gang if you haven't allready please email your good wishes to Robin.

Robin, it has taken me a long time to add my well wishes, but it certainly doesn't mean you weren't in my thoughts and prayers. I wish the best for you, but my prayers also include your family and the trials they are having. It is a difficult time for you all.

I have constantly enjoyed your contributions to The Gauge, which always inspired me to do more and better.

God Speed and God Bless

Got this tonight (9/15/05)

Hi Johnathan, my Dad asked me to send this message along to you to share with the Guage:

I would like to send my deep appreciation for all the prayers and
thoughts that you have been so kind to give me. It is not easy being sick.

Many of you have been very ill and came through the difficult times that you
experienced. I only hope and pray that I too will be able to overcome my
difficult time.

Robin

Ps from Kim, My Dad thoroughly enjoys hearing from you all and we hope that if he can make it home again that he will once again be able to join you at the guage.
