No. I've thought of doing one--I accumulaed a lot of info and drawings on the bird--but my project list is about five planes too ong already. The only model I know of is the old Revell plastic kit.

Fiddlers Green has the Sea Dart (I believe one of Rob's designs).

I've always been drawn to seaplanes. It would be a sweet plane to build. It should be a good subject for a relatively large scale as well. There was a special trailer for pulling it out of the water that would make a good display stand too.

Hmm, I've never designed a model before, but just how much info and how many photos do you have of the Seamaster, Rob?

Hmm. Most of the plane looks fairly straightforward to model. No complicated lines in the wings, empennage structure or top of the fuselage. Nice smooth flowing surfaces there. But the bottom of the fuselage looks to get a bit trickier, although not drastically so. The engine nacelles seem to have very clean lines as well. If only I could get some cross-sections of the fuselage and the wing I might actually be able to draw this thing up!

Good God, am I actually thinking of doing this?! :p

Well........... ya know that there are plenty of guys here willing to help if you get into a pinch!

Lets see if we can find some more and better drawings................ I have to check my ancient storage devices (books) and see what I've got.

Now that's a nice 3-view! Do you have a larger version you can send me?

As I said, I've never designed a model before. Could I do this in Google SketchUp, unfold it in Pepakura, and color it in Gimp? I don't have the cash to sink into the expensive software, especially for my first attempt...

Wow, that's a great model plan, Maurice! Thanks for letting me in on it.

I guess I'm running out of excuses not to do this...:|

The Seamaster would make a great kit.

I'm a sucker for abnormal aircraft designs.
