one note, the rear is inacurate. above the exhaust the fuselage should go straight up then curve into the stabilizer.

finished the nose. due to my lack of skills i went around my a** to get to my elbow.

the wings are next. but there was a lack of attention to the internals in my opinion. there is a main spar down the middle with only 2 wing shape formers,
one at the fuselage and one at the wing tip.

this is a fairly heavy model. a lot of paper packed in this hull. pluss the weights i added for the front, i whanted to make sure the gear was sturdy nuf to hold. so i made the main gear tubes out of plastic and wrapped the details around it.

the grears are on. this is the first time ive ever done wheels, i have them laminated and need to shape them. well see how they turn out.

By the way, does this model come with X4 rockets?

im in the home stretch now got the horizontal stabilizer on and started the canopy.the front peice i used celophane. not to happy with it. ill have to look around the house for something else on the back part. i dont whant to use my transparency because the back side is frosted.

    thanks Dragos.

here is one of four X-4 missiles. they are 18 peices each. only 4 wire spool pods were included. (wingtip) each missile is supposed to have 2 of them.

Very nice job. I like the way you turned the nose wheel a bit. Adds a lot of interest. It's also apparent that you are taking pains to ensure that nothing will be aligned in your display: tarmac slabs not parallel to the sides of the base, aircraft not parallel to either the tarmac sections or the sides of the base. Ultimately the final display will be much more dynamic as a result. Nicely done all around.

    Don

I have this kit from a long while back and I not only cannot find the digital but my high quality prints that I spent $1.50/page on.

Love what you have done though. If I ever locate any of those I would probable create a larger display and add figures.

I like that tarmac to ... pretty neat.

thanks StevO. i have had such a good time building this kit, i whant to build another one. i whant to change the camo and do a "clean" version with no ordanance. although a plane with tons of weapons on it looks cool, i think sometimes it can hide the simple beauty of the plane itself.
