I just picked up a Maly Modelarz ship which I have scanned in.

Can anyone help with some advice about paper size/weight?

I'm guessing the formers should be 2.5 mm, the decks 1 mm and the rest a mixture of standard 80g and heavy 160g paper.

The model in question will build to about 35in total length. I'm thinking of printing at 50% size. What paper size/weight should I use now?

Cheers JTF

My advice would be to use the same weight at the original model you have. I use a heavier weight for the formers. I print them on paper then laminate it to two layers of cerial box cardboard. I cut it when it is still soft from the glue as it is easier on the hands. You can also luse sheet metal snips to cut them as well.
