I know I don't post much here, but I do like to contribute when I can. So here's something you may find useful: My tutorial on taking models form Homeworld and making them into paper models. The basics are useful for designers, and if I have a good way to take models from other sources, I'll point them out too. I'm in the middle of making a differences tutorial for Homeworld 2 models, you can find it here. If you have any good advice that you would like to see on there, let me know and I'll be happy to post it.

Fructose. thanks for this tutorial, very interesting! I wonder how many other games have 'extractable' models and texture files that coulod be handled this way? I used to do a lot of Flight Sim design, so with the interest in aviation being so strong, this might be a source of some good models? I am at least two years behind the current curve with FS and CFS.

    Great stuff, thanks Fructose.
