Nice effort for that tutorial, thank you Stripes.
I'm interested in the subject because next week I'll start to build the scenery on my N scale layout.
My biggest concern is about how to make the bottom of the lake waterproof before casting the water ?
The quality of it would greatly improve if you could add just a few pictures.

I am very limited on the amount of pictures I can upload onto a page on Yahoo. As far as making it Waterproof, weather you are using Magic Water, or Enviro-tek The most important thing to do is to seal the base of the pond with either paint, or plaster cloth, plaster, etc....
