    Dan,

Just finished reading your thread on the Discovery you are making. Your model is incredible!! Talk about a life journey! Wow!

Thanks for sharing some of your manufacturing techniques along the way. The sharing of the techniques involved as well as the model itself is appreciated by a newbie like me and others as well.

Looking forward to the day when you finish it and put it in the lighted display box.

    Take care,

    Sky Seeker

Greetings Ken! I was trying to find your pics on the thread and I missed it. Could you get me the number of the thread or re-post it on this one?

    Thanks,

Nice detail work on your model. thumbsup

I had the idea of doing a detailed pod bay, cockpit, the lot; but after experimentation and study, I decided that the extra detail is not worth the effort, at this scale.
As mine is going to be a "Display in the Box" model, (albeit a big one!) I am not too worried about close scrutiny. Besides, most of what the human eye sees is interpretation anyway....... ;);)

But, yeah, ..... It is the song of all modellers, paper or otherwise; "I know it's in there .......!!!":biggrin:;)

Thanks. Here is the link for the gallery http://zealot.com/gallery/albums/2001-discovery-build.63. If you click the gallery tab it's there as well. I'll be uploading some more pics of the progress of my scratch built pod bay.

Thank you! I've been working on my Discovery for about a year now on and off. I've been busy at work for awhile and I had put it aside. I'm getting my second wind now and I'm anxious to complete it.

Is there a way to change the photo that shows on the gallery album instead of the first one?

I'm working on a couple of models simultaneously, a paper Proteus, a paper 2001 spaces pod and my resin Discovery. Focusing right now on completing the Discovery pod bay. Got a new Dremel tiny drill bit set. Using them to make brass tubing extensions for the pod platforms.
