Hey Eric, where in Illinois are you located. I'm originally from that area before I joined the AF
I'm somewhat familiar with that area. My dad worked at the Eola yard before he quit working for the BN. Then we lived up just outside the city limits of Elgin. Are you west of Randall road? If its west of there I probably am not familiar. I remember plenty of times driving down Randall road to where the credit union is and also where it turns into another street.
I'm sure i should recognize the name. My dad is a railfan as well as a railroader and worked for the Burlington for 30 years. I'm sure he knows exactly where Shabbona is and where a good photographic spot was back in the 70s
