look for source of Can Pacific steamers

Hi guys, wondered if some of the more exsperianced modelers could point me to some Canadain Pacific steam for my 1924-1930 Saskatchewan canada layout, i'm looking for freight and mix freight motive power on a branch line, so i'm guessing 2-6-4, 4-6-0, 2-8-0 i would think, i've googled CP in all forms have had little luck, IHC and other sites alot of them are out of stock,,, I'm just starting out so moderate price and quality to get me going, and i will be installing DCC right from the start. Thanks

It's not rocket surgery
The Bachmann Spectrum ten-wheeler is a nice little steamer, runs well, and can easily have DCC added. I do not know how much of a match it is for CPR's 4-6-0s though...

You might try Canadian Model Trains (www.modeltrains.com), but you could find yourself buying brass to get the best match...! ;):D

Hate to tell you this, but there's very little RTR for Canadian locomotives of any sort.

This is the best place to ask:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cpsig

This is another good resource:

http://www.cpsig.ca/cpdocs/main.asp

The CP SIG has a quarterly magazine that is also very useful.

Basically, you're looking at buying a model and doing some significant kitbashing to get anything accurate. Canadian locomotives were all built in Canada, and while they may have been based on US designs, they were all modified to meet Canadian needs.
