My wife bought me the new Marx Trains 'Thor" locomotive gun carrier - it's a tinplate loco that's loads of fun. You can see the whole shebang, including our test run here:

She also got me an original Marx (pre-1075) #400 Army steamer and tender. I love the old Marx trains. They're loads of fun. :)

    marx stuff

Thortrain, I have a Marx windup Commodore Vanderbilt type engine and mixed frieght train set that I too got from wife.

The Engine has a bell that clangs and i think it's supposed to smoke or spark out of the stack, but don't. Yes it is fun to wind er' up and watch her fly.

    T,

Those sparking wind-ups were popular with Marx. They also made sparkling wind-up tanks. I don't have any here. Just a wind-up steamer, the rest are electric. Those little Commodore Vanderbilts are amusing. I have one I sometimes run when I'm douing a show with the club/ Kids don't know what to make of it.
