    April fools!
Sorry, couldn't resist after getting taken myself on another forum.
    Really, I would like one...
Don't forget to take the poll at the top as to whether you got taken or not.

I would much rather have an A model though. I spent 15 months as Combat Pacer at Elmendorf, doing "quick-turns" on these birds making their way to and from Southeast Asia. I probably patted the side, kicked the tires and cursed out every model of that aircraft Lockheed produced.

But I have had my moments with the B model. Including flights on it, and a rather interesting "war story" regarding a crash of one at the Hurlburt Field training site in 1988.

But the A model has always been my favorite. A version looking like the Hanoi Taxi would a wonderful addition to any collection.

P.S. Good joke Ryan. Rick probably thinks I set one up on him today. 8v)

    Howdy Guys & gals,

In an effort to give ya a small consolation prize for falling for this great "April fools" joke, here is the link to a model that has been out for a few months now.
It is the Japanese C1 transport plane (Twin Jet engines) and can be found here in three (3) different color schemes. This may be old to some of you but might be new to others, so, here is the link:

    http://homepage2.nifty.com/kozin/page003.html#lcn005

    and here are the models:

I know this isnt the C 141, but its the best I can do.

    have a good day,

I'm new to this forum site, and I designed a C-141 for table decorations at a reunion banquet in California a while back. Attached is a quick pic of an early construction build before I 'painted' it in the lizard scheme. I don't have a web site so don't have a place to post it for download.

Are you able to email the file? I'd sure like to have a copy. I'd be willing to host the model on one of my websites.

    Just somebody do it!

It's criminal to let a good plane model like this just sit around. Set that sucker free!

um.......... I would like one please!

    1. Yeah, I can set it free. It has docs and everything, but no stand.

    2. RyanShort1 has lots of web sites? Is something wrong with this one?

    3. A parts bin, to me, is where one dumps left over plastic model parts.

    Am I missing something here?

Ryan has several web sites that deal with various flying aspects (doolittle's raiders, etc) ......... this site doesn't just post models, except in the forum named parts bin. If you will go to forums, click on parts bin and news, look under aircraft you will see folks have posted stuff there. Ususally in PDF format, but and universal format, but the site allows bigger files in PDF format.

It's a place where folks who have designed models wish for them to be available for downloads.

And I was being sarcastic, sorry. This will be something that a lot of folks here would love to have. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for offering it.

    Gee...I didn't even get a chance to vote. 8v(

But, yes, please post the C-141B somewhere. Flown many hours on the aircraft type, and pumped in excess of several million gallons of JP-4 to the A model.

It would also mean I can stop pulling hair out of my head trying to design one myself.
