what is retail on this engine? i dont see it on the lionel site
I bought the whole set for about $180- that's a loop of 036 fastrak, a CW-80 transformer, four ore cars, a caboose, and the 0-6-0 Docksider. They retail for about $110 as a separate sale item.
Alot of these sets are getting broken up on Ebay and in LHS- obviously dealers make more on it alone.
how do you like that engine? pro's and cons?
how much would ya bid for one on ebay? there 4 or 5 engines on there now say new, never out of the box , or whatever. just the engine, not the whole set
SMRP is $109 for just the engine.
I have alot of big TMCC diesels, but I have to say this little steamer is currently my favorite engine (kind of like Lionel's version of the little engine that could). It's not a fantastic smoker, but it's got some appeal to it. I tried to pull some Lionel Husky stacks with it (these are diecast), and it did three on a flat grade no problem.
If I were buying it solo, I'd say I'd pay $60-75 for it. If you like small steamers you'll like this one.
They are cool to use, if you don't have to have the exact road name there are a few others for sale at around $89.
WOOHOOO! i just won one (dont tell my wife) got it for 59.99 plus 10,00 shipping. i put my last bid in with like 7 min to go. i figured id be outbid, this make the 3rd one i tried to get in 2 days. 3rd times the charm.....lol
That's a pretty good buy!
Don't worry. I won't tell the wife.... for a little hush money of course.... Say enough to buy one of my own?
