HOtrainman - very nice work on keeping it all neat and orderly!

I am currently working out prototypes for mounting switch machines and their toggles switches, so my wiring panel is still only in my head. But I've got it mostly figured out.

The cool thing about it is that it will actually be part of the HO layout, disguised as a park train -- one of those roughly 1:10 scale trains that people can ride in at the park or zoo. My wiring panel will be a 1:900 landscaped minature version of the layout itself, with the toggle switches sitting at each turnout location. This will make operation intuitive.

The 1:900 train will not actually work, and is just for show. But I really liked the idea of building the panel into the layout itself.

The 1:900 trains are available from http://www.tiny-trains.com, though their web site seems buggered at the moment. There is also an ebay store (http://stores.ebay.com/Tiny-Trains-1-900-Scale). The owner happily sent me a loco, three cars, and some track as opposed to a completed layout like he is used to selling.
