Layout Update...April 7, 2007

Here's an update. I planted more trees! I don't care if you have nothing but trees, it almost completes it!! I added my first building. It's a small Model Power frieght building I baught at Hobby Lobby. I did some kit bashing to it! First I removed the telegraph pole. It was facing perpendicular instead of parellel to the tracks. I added a street light in it's place. I also weathered the roof of the building. I also made my own fence. It really finishes the scence off!

That's nice! I am with you on the trees, mine is going to be sparse on buildings and thick on trees.

How did you do the weathering of the roof?
By the way, I remember the 60's and the band Lovin Spoonfull which had a hit with "Rain on the roof". Those where the days...

That's easy. I used Delta Creamcoat Iron Oxide paint from Walmart. I painted it on. Then used a damp paper towl and whiped it.:thumb:
