Those last shots are amazing, Frank ! Between the superstructure and the forest of AA guns, I'd never have the patience to build something like that.

Flu, I have a small question... Are those barrels provided with the kit, or are they not made with paper?

@ Lex: the barrels are made of plastic sprues, pulled out over a candle flame.......

    Frank,
looks very good, and I can imagine the lot of work for the AAGuns.
Your build is very clear, and everybody, who`s trying the Yamato should have a very deep look on it.

    Have a nice day

Excellent work Flu! I know how tedious those AA guns can be, and you've done them brilliantly!

Yamato is really beginning to take shape now.

Has anybody considered an aircraft carrier conversion of a Yamato hull ?. This was done with the third ship in the class . I cant find much information on her, as she was sunk while being moved to a "safer" location for completion and fitting out.
How does the Digital Navy Yamato compare to this version ?
I might have a new summer project, But I think I'll have to build a bigger work table first !

Closing in on the final stages Flu. Looks great. With so many AA guns, it's amazing that this ship died to naval aviation.

    Truly wonderful build.
