    Dear Friends,

I`ve already started a new project. The japanese Battleship YAMATO, JSC, 1:400.

The kit very accurate printed and it fits very good.

Here are the first pictures to show how it works.............

    all formers prepared
fortunately nothing must be doubled with cardboard
    [IMG]

here is the skeleton.........the triangle beam brings a lot of stiffness!!

the deck is beginning by the stern,
here is the aircraft lift, the tracks for aircraft transfer und the hangar doors visible......

    the prepared maindeck.....

and the maindeck in position (not glued), the tracks are detailed too

JSC's models have always been simple but realistic compared to other publishers, I'm watching this build with interest!

    Kure maritime museum

I found those two photografic (here and here) reports, about the 1/10 :)eek: YES very BIG) model of the Yamato battleship. If I well remember, they lasted height years to complete this behemoth.

You can find a lot of details at this scale

    Enjoy,
    Nando

    Hi ya!

Again its a very nice build!...however I noticed something...

Shouldn't the gray triangle parts of the stanchions be cut also? I may be mistaken of course. Just asking  The Halinski Yamato instructions shows those parts to be cut out. I don't know what the JCS Yamato instructions show though.

Still I like the way you're making it

Great start Flu. This is a very detailed model for the JSC brand. Yet simple too. Just a lot of pieces.

Do your best, I know you will. :)

Great idea! Even just a little bit of added 3-d effects can really enhance a model's interest and appeal. Thank goodness for scanners, Gimp and color printers!
    Cheers!
