    Hi folks,

today I started a new project. It´s to join a forum internal modeling contest. Required is a diorama, the rest is free.

I want to project an airbase in the pacific theater of war during the IIWW.

The first step is a J2M3 RAIDEN, "Jack" 1:33, GPM.

    Look for the first pics:

    the cockpit section:

Great! But what glue did you use? I tried Elmer's white glue for glazing the eyes on one of my trout models, but it looked terrible.

Man thats great! Your guages and stuff look 3D to me. Did you paint them or make them out of an additinal layer of card? I am considering making an overlay that will recess the guages a bit on my build but I really like how yours looks and might go that route (if you are willing to give up a trade secret) :D

I also really like the little embossing additions to the seat and the panel behind the seat (unless of course those are really printed on and I just think it looks like you added those) - its those little touches that really add to the realism
    Chris
p.s. that pilot must have logged a lot of hours given the condition of his seat :) excellent weathering!

    the skin............

    Hi folks,

here are the first parts of the skin................notice: for all who will build the plane in the future, first glu the inner cockpit skin to the outside part (#18 + #19).
now it looks not as good as expected, but it´s ok.
