Went down to our railyard this morning. I asked the BNSF guys if it was ok to snap a few pics. They basicly gave me run of the yard only telling me, "if anything moves, get the H*** out of the way!" I don't have time to post all the pics I snapped today but here's a link to my Photobucket album.

There are 2 pages to the album. The first 4 pics are older ones and the rest are all pics I snapped today.

Some interesting stuff out there.

Blue & Yellow Santa Fe

Norfolk & Southern on a BNSF line???? Yup.

KCS- Kansas City & Southern?

And a bright blue one that I have no idea about.... a lease maybe?

There are also a few shots of some graffitied cars as well. I don't condone this but I find them interesting since graffiti is still a rarity in these parts.

I'm sure the crew that let you in is thrilled that you've posted their rules violation where management can see it.

I know where that's at and I know when you were there, but you at least had enough good sense to not get whoever let you there in trouble. (Unless you didn't ask at all, and I think it's possible to get in there behind the old Y without too much hassle.)

Actually I just walked up the service road from the parking lot by the engine service area.I took that picture and calmly return to the van.I also stayed away from the tracks.
I did notice a guy looking my way..I waved,he waved back and that was that.sign1

Would you rather I just ran out on to the tracks and not bothered to tell anyone I was there?

Acquired by BNSF?
I wonder why they haven't at least covered the NS logos or something......
Just seemed really strange for it to be sitting out there.

No, but if someone sticks their neck out it's best to not do something that can get them in trouble as well.

No, acquired by NS from Conrail. It's just on loan to BNSF, probably repaying owed run-through power time.

Yeah, you have a point.
Sorry guys. Hopefully no one gets in serious trouble.
Especially since I was never actually out in the yard but stayed on the side
(Closeups were done with zoom)

Makes sense. It was still cool to see.
I wonder what other names have been down there when I wasn't paying attention.

Cool. Thanks :thumb:
That explains the hookup to the KCS.
