I saw an interresting consist at work today. I was working on a refrigerated trailer in back of the shop in the City Of Industry today, when a U.P. went by on the main. I looked up to see an old S.P. tunnel motor in the middle of the consist with the roof and side doors missing around the prime mover. Also a couple of the inspection plates were missing from the side of the engine. Obviously, it was dead. I don't know if it was being transfered somewhere else for repair, or if it is going to Colton to be scrapped out.
