This has probably been noted before, but I just wanted to pat somebody on the back-namely, 1st Place Hobbies- http://www.1stplacehobbies.com/ . I placed an order with them on the 19th of July, and received it today. Order was complete and extremely well packaged. I got an email confirmation of my order immediately upon ordering, and an email notification of shipping two days later.
Their selection is good, their prices are very good. Their site is a bit difficult to navigate, but well worth it!

I'll second that 1stplace is a great on-line shop. trainworld is another, with incredable close outs.

I like 1st place as well. But I haven't bought from them and they don't have newer equipment. And $8.95 for shipping!?!?!? I really dunno about that. Besides, I have a budget to stick to and anywhere I can save money I will do so.

Hi all. Angus, finally a Californian. I am from Visalia.

I was watching tv about a year ago, as they used to have a channel on that showed antiques and what not, and they spoke of a really large, world famous place in Ventura, California that has unlimited trains. Anyone ever been there?

Night all who are Easterners. Jack.

The shipping on my order was $7.95, which seems to be pretty standard, anymore. And as far as having newer equipment, they seem to be up to date, as far as I can tell.
