Inside Kato switches...

I hate Kato's switchcontroller appearance. I opened the turnout and saw it is an electromagnet. Question: Is it a momentary switch like atlas, or is it okay to have power on constantly by using a simple toggle switch? It is 2 wires unlike atlas which uses three. Also, can I use 2 push buttons, but then, how would I change polarity? Help

Hi csx,
You can use a DPDT Momentary (spring return to center)
toggle switch.

You can also use 2 buttons, provided they have both Normally
Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC) contacts on each button.

I'm pretty sure you can't leave power applied continuously,
someone correct me if I'm wrong.:sleeping:
